Power Strokes 1994-1997 Upgrades and AftermarketUpgrading or adding OEM or aftermarket equipment to your 1994-1997 Ford F-Series with Power Stroke engine.
I have a D66 turbo, stage two injectors from beans, an afe stage two, intercooler, full stack kit turbo back, 3in down pipe, 203* thermostat, blue cps and the edge programmer on the 100 hp settin. I also have the crossover hydraulic line. I dont have a dyno available in italy so i need a little guess work.
Well we know it's an OBS, so 400 give or take, but your chip is the wildcard. I did 367 with the setup below, but I've seen Stage 2's do 435 with a D66 and big oil.

You may be breaking 400, or at least really close to it. Since you don't have a custom burned chip it's hard to say. Your chip was burned for stock injectors, so you're not getting the most out of them. Get a custom one and you should definitely be right at 400 or a little over. Big oil and you'll for sure be there.

By big oil what do ya mean....one of the stealth pumps or can i just use a later model pump like a 2002. I have to be careful what I do because its so hard to get parts over here. Like right now the truck is down for an alternator and its been a week, and ive got atleast three or more days till it will be here. But thanks for the info...i wonder why these trucks rob so much power from the mods. All the companies were givin hp numbers for thier parts and all added up should have been between 600 and 700.
Yes, Big Oil is a dual pump setup. The 17* pumps, from late 99's and up are just "more" oil than the first generation HPOP systems.
Though you may have to wait on parts, don't you have like a rock star status driving that big stroker around Italy? Of little comfort when your rig is down!

Well damn it and i thought i was doing good with what I had....okay so the stealth pumps it is.But for lack of time/ money will a late model pump suffice.
It is kinda interestin to pull up to a light with a new Ferrari and the guy checks me out and gives me the nod and thumbs up. But then here comes the smoke and the four tire marks and he wants a second look.

Oh, you're doing ok with what you have. No shame in your game, IMO.
Are you getting any CEL's when you go WOT?
@Justin - hadn't seen that. Thank ya! Even more OT - are you going to be at TS?

Well i used too, but the ebp sensor delete fixed that, but now every now i get the turbo boost circuit fault and the injector control pressure high/ low. But thanks for the info on the pump. Any ideas for a truck like mine that i need to look at it just rolled 200,000. I have replaced all the usual, fuel pump, filter assy, vacuum pump, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, u joints, clutch is now a stage 1 single flywheel, i think thats it.
Here is my set-up with stock oil. A buddy of mine had a similar set-up and ran 435 so you are probably real close ...................

Realistically, there are three things you have or don't have that puts you probably around 350 hp.
Stock 15* degree pump, with stage ones or two's, it can't keep up. You need a minimum of a sd 17* and it will work very good with your two's.
Stock fuel pump. when mine was identical to your set up with Tony's burns and 17* pump, I made 379. Added Bean's OBS dual electric pumps, Bean/Casserly 100% over edm nozzles and turned out 433.
Dave, 97strokerman, and I dyno'ed together with exactly the same set up as yours except for two things, I had specific dyno burns from tony and stock fuel, Davy had Bean's fuel system and older Tony burns made for all around performance. He would have been over 400 with my burns, I got the best you can get out of the stock fuel pump @ 379.
edge tuner.....very generic, one size fits all. You need tuning that fits your excellent modifications. Tony knows exactly what brings our combo alive. He has r&d'd my truck, Tubbz and Wanda's OBS, Luke Cline's, and many, many other OBS performance trucks.
get rid of the blue cps. it's been pretty well proven that it retards injection timing, so what ever power gain your getting in slight advance timing with your programming, your loosing with the "not for our truck cps"
I considered going to the new stealth stage one pump, or the older style dual stealth with the two's, but now with the 238cc hybrids my 17* got me to 529. I don't need bigger oil. I've had a second 17* for a couple of years in antisipation of picking up a used dual stealth. now I don't need it. I'll sell it if your interested. The pump housing is buffed out to a high gloss finish to go with the other polished parts on my motor.
Thanks Jim...ill get the different cps on order, maybe when i get back from down range this time ill get a custom burn setup up. But let me know how much u might want for that 17* pump because i was thinkin bout swappin it. But man that setup on yours sure is sweet. If i decide to keep it through my time in italy maybe when i get back stateside ill yank this block out and start from scratch....go for some respectable numbers like you guys.
Thanks,
Shane
