Whats next

Ok, Im getting ready to schlepp my crap across the country AGAIN.(4th time). I have done some work on my truck but every trip I make I want it to be a little better.

I have a tymar intake with 3x4 down pipe and stright pipes out the back. Gutted EBPV (considering repopulating to create an exhaust brake), and an EDGE products tuner. I have Trans temp, Boost, and EGT gauges inside. I have fitted a 125 gal aux fuel tank in the back, and am in process of making a WVO conversion for it.

I tow a fully loaded (10,000(+!)LBS) 8.5x20 Interstate bumper hitch with it. Most of my moves have been 2000 miles plus. This one has the potential to be 4k plus.

As far as power and MPG what should I do next? (money as always is an issue)

The first thing I would do is lose the Edge tuner and go with a Tony Wildman custom chip. I am sure that you saw this coming, and I can guarantee I won't be the only one to tell you that his chips are incredible.

I have 4 settings on mine: Economy, Daily Drive, Tow, and Hold On! I still don't know how I ever enjoyed driving my truck without the chip. MPG definitely increases if you can keep the pedal off of the floor.

Hope that helps a little.

Matt

I've got the same exhaust setup as you do and if I were going to be pulling a tall trailer that long I would temporaily route my exit out the side. When I pull my camp trailer it sure reverbs and would get annoying after awhile. Just my $.02...

I would get a 90 elbow and shoot it downward, or could shoot it to the side, add few feet of pipe and rig it to hang off the rear bumper or something similar

I would finish the WVO upgrade that will save you money on fuel and i too would drop the edge and if you dont feel like getting a dp get a hypertech my hypertech i could almost sware gave me 1-3 additional MPGs towing and the egts where so LOW. and think about cooling the tranny.
