Maybe y'all should work on shifting the peak power rpm somewhere other than 2800 before we worry about turning more rpms just for fun [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img].
Makes sense, because at 3850 you've already left your peak power by over 1000rpms [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img].
You should only run the rpms up until the power you'd be making in the next higher gear is equal to, or greater than the power you're making in the current gear. Once that happens.........it's time to shift, running the rpms higher than that is actually making the truck slower.
Now making the actual power itself go higher in rpms........now that's something to really work on. As in making the peak on the dyno run happen somewhere higher than 2800, lol.

Looks like my truck fuels up to rev limiter. I dunno what your smoken but looks to me like i was still making good power until defuel/ rev limiter came into play. Truck was at or above 400hp from 2500 rpms til 3650-3700 where it hit defuel (blue line on sheet).
