Where to find slotted discs?

I seem to not be having much luck with finding the Power Slot rotors for the 1997 in my signature. I've looked online through Summit, Tire Rack, and a couple other random Google listings. What I find is a listing for 1995 and 1996 obviously. Is it the same item for the 1996 F250 as it is for the 1997 F250?

Also, is there a sponsor on this board that offers the Power Slots and Hawk pads as recommended? I didn't see them in Dieselsite.

Thanks guys,
Bret

i offer the powerslot rotors in regular or Cryo treated rotors... i believe the 97's are the same as the 96's but i would have to call them up on tuesday and ask to make sure.....

Bear brake catalog shows 95-98 being the same number for the front rotors so im assuming the powerslots will be the same also...

In '97 there is a Light duty F250 and a heavy duty F250. You need to specifiy when ordering parts.

1997 F250HD is the same as 1996 F250.

1997 F250LD is the new body style.

STurbo, I did know about the 2 different models, and that is why the question for the same # on 96 as 97. Many of the listing which come up are automatically for the light-duty 250, which makes no sense to me when you click the "7.3L/444 DIT Turbo" and the light stuff comes up.

Stealth, I'll check out your site, and you can PM me on Tuesday if you'd like with costs.

I checked out NAPA online and they only show the cross drilled & slotted rotor for the 96 & 97.

Went to ORU, "off road unlimited", and there wasn't anything listed for the OBS. It is completely possible I wasn't in the correct site because I don't know what ORU readily stands for.

Also checked a few other locations online. From what I see so far, TireRack looks like they have the Cryo rotors for the cheapest price ($139). There is a clear difference in cost between the non-cryo ($108) and the cryo Power Slot rotors.

I also didn't realize there were 3 different Hawk pads. Which is the best with the least amount of dust/noise, from what those who have them or had them noticed?

Much appreciate the help guys.

Bret

Tirerack usually has the lowest price on the cryo rotors.

The Hawk pads that are recommended are the LTS pads.

Send a message via ICQ to Big K
96 and 97 is the same for the rotors on both the Dana 50 TTB and Dana 60 Trucks

Same goes for all the bearings in the hubs also!

Thank you STurbo and Big K, much appreciate the info.

Looks like I'll do the Tirerack for the brakes, and NAPA/CarQuest for any bearings and seals as necessary.

Thanks all for the posts and information. Hopefully someone else will find this thread useful as well.

Bret
