Why new burn after stage 1's?

I am curious and can't really find the answer in the terms I am looking for.

Do we have to reburn chips after installing stage 1's?

I have a banks chip, just a little tow chip and I am sure there are better burns for the stage 1 injectors, but is the burn I have now ok?
Do I risk doing damage? Or am I better to go stock until I get a new chip?

Not really sure why, but it seems everyone does a new chip when they do injectors in the posts I have read.

Is it a waste to have a chip with stage 1's if it is not designed for it?

Thanks for any input you guys have.

Re: Why new burn after stage 1's?

The stage 1's will work without a new chip just fine. You can run the stage 1's without a chip at all. The best performance will be achieved with the proper custom programming. I would suggest Tony Wildman.

Re: Why new burn after stage 1's?

sure, mine sorked great with a TTS 50hp tow chip, but I tried a 75hp hot chip once, it was insane, smoked like crazy, rear springs wrapped up so bad I thought the rear end would break, and teh boost was off the hook, really too, teh boost line popped right off 2x adn it pinned teh 35psi gauge.
Roy will still remember that one, 280hp that day.

My stage 1's and a dp tuners 100hp reflash is nothing short of awesome .Without the reflash the truck was smoother but I wanted more it all came together with a reflash.
