Re: [Wildman Chip] Can someone explain the settings??
the high idle is for faster warm ups, and also for your ac in the summer it puts the idle up to like 1200 rpm.
tow is for just that, you can use it when you got a load to haul, it has a faster boost and more power when you need it.
the extreme is for when you really want to go, it gives the most power you can get from your stock injectors, also it is very touchy on the throttle with mass boost levels.
most people run the tow for just driving around, and then put it to extreme when the want the smoke and power to toast ricers. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]

Re: [Wildman Chip] Can someone explain the settings??
Basically what was said above....
I love mine. I have the "Power Selector" knob mounted in the dash right beside the WTS light. This makes it handy for on the fly adjustments.
High Idle would prolly not work out as well in an auto as it does my manual. I have a 1000 RPM idle in my Stock position and an 1100 in my tow position. I love this feature. 1000 RPM warm ups, 1000 RPM cooldowns...it keeps the turbo happy with plenty of oil, prevents any possible wet stacking (I don't buy into this much), lets the AC work better, better starts at the stop lights...the list goes on.
Being a lover of military aviation from the old prop days... my positions are labled as follows:
1. Military (Stock)
2. Auto-Lean (economy setting)
3. Auto-Rich (Tow)
4. War Emergency Power (Extreme)

Re: [Wildman Chip] Can someone explain the settings??
I went to BTS this weekend and this was the first time i was able to put some miles on the truck to compare the first two tanks in econo doing the speed limit about 70mph i got 18.5 mpg the second fill in the stock program i got 19.5 i was on cruise the whole way after i got my tranny done i drove back in the stock position and got 20.5 and in the stock position it feels more like my 40 hp tow program i cant say enough about Brian and his crew at BTS it was worth every penny and every mile of the 2,460 mile trip Thanks
