it will...........

BUT the spring perches are slightly different widths, so the springs will be slightly angled.

The lug pattern is different, so you will need to swap the rear axle as well, unless you want to have two different spares.

And then you come to the non serviceable wheel bearings the SD guys are paying big bucks to retrofit......

The only upside is the ability to use the SD rear with disc brakes.

But you could always add disks to the stock rear.

Re: WILL A SD DANA 60 FIT A 97 F350

In closing- Probably best to get a OBS dana 60 and avoid the hassle of the SD axle. It might be a cheaper initial purchase but the cost to get real bearings like the OBS has stock and the different bolt patterns just isn't worth it IMO.

Re: WILL A SD DANA 60 FIT A 97 F350

A very good option Cary, I would just love to have a rearend that is a little wider and that came with factory disc brakes and the right bolt pattern.

Re: WILL A SD DANA 60 FIT A 97 F350

You already have the second best front end you can get...its a D60 now, the best is a king pin D60 You won't gain anything but a weaker axel going to a SD..its gona be a D60 with the crap uni bearings or if your lucky you get a D50 SD version with uni bearings and d44 outers
