won some injectors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got 2 stock injectors off ebay for pretty cheap. gonna keep 1 for a spare and try to mod/ see how the other one ticks.

i was bidding on all 7 then got out bid on a lot of them but i still made out with 2. "JOAT" glad to see you got a couple and can fix your truck. and thanks for not outbidding me on all of em. (kx_250).

We actually made out like bandits. Cheapest I've seen AA injectors go in awhile. I've been getting outbid for at least 3 months till now.

I plan to also post pics as I tear them down. Got a Split shot AD on the way too so will try to have component pics side by side.

That was you 2, dangit I told my wife to bid on them for me while I was out but she didn't get how difficult they have been to get ahold of. even the ones that were burnt up a while back went for too much I told her I just wanted one to tear apart so I could see if I could do it without any help. The AD I got sat with a buy it now of $50 for a few days before I grabbed it to satisfy my curiosity. Not sure why they are going cheap all of a sudden. Most times they go up around $100 at the last minute. Maybe there is a surplus of them now [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

Yeah, I think I will have to be less picky about the code number AA or AD. What i wanted to do was rebuild one changing any thing I find that is not good and shorten the piston up and see how it goes.

I gave up on getting injectors from ebay. I have a total of 8 that are only good for parts, too far out of spec to be usable without alot of work. They were sold as-is, as cores, so I'm not complaining, I knew there's a chance they weren't any good. The rebuilt ones sold on ebay are pretty good, but anything else isn't worth it, IMHO.

For sure it's a hit or miss gamble buying on ebay. Someguy burned me for a GP relay--it's a starter relay. He got booted for bidding his own auctions too. I share your pain.
