Is there anyone with a Quick Spool on their OBS, 94-97, truck? I am not interested in other styles or brands just the Wide Open Quick Spool.

BlueMule, I know a few with them on their SD's but besides WOP's toy truck I have not heard of anyone. I want one but I want to sell my truck too. I know if I get one, from what I hear, I will not be dissappointed. I already talked to Zane and they make a kit for our trucks.

Well you should just go get it and when youre ready to sell the truck we can just trade turbos. I really wish I had waited and got one.
See, that is what I thought... I see people with big jectors and big oil but yet they have H2E's. And then too think there is ASB's after the QSSB. Fuel needs air as we know.

so whats the difference between that WOP quickspool and a H2E from say the dieselsite? Is the ONLY diffence the exhaust housing? That H2E I bought is gonna be a PITA to get the exhaust housing off, i spray penetrant on it everyday for the last 3 days, along with a few bangs with the ball pien.

Jeff, supposably it does. The biggest advantage is less back pressure. That QSSB has a larger exhaust housing, then the H2E, yet still spools fast. It will mostly likely be my next turbo, if not the ASB.

I could be mistaken here but I think the quickspool is based on the S300 which is smaller than an H2E. Typically a larger housing will make it spool slower but I would have to guess that it has something to do with the size of the shaft and the weight of the rotateing assy. The H2E has a fairly large shaft that is very resiliant to shock loading such as when you go into severe stall like when backing out of the throttle real fast when building a lot of boost. The S300 has a smaller shaft and therefore is lighter makeing it spin easier. I think the H2E flows more air than the quick spool but don't quote me on that. Has anyone actually gotten or seen a map for the quickspool?
