After a little cussing some tinkering help from my younger bro and a few calls through the phone network I figured out what was wrong with my $1800 PSD...... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
It was so flippin simple to fix...they I bought it from is gonna flip haha [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]......
From what I can tell the EXPERT Powerstroke mechanic that was workin on it before me musta been a dunce....
The gear that drives the HPOP was never bolted back up proper....it backed off and twisted the gear to were the teeth wouldn't catch.
So after two years of this truck setting and no one knowing wats wrong. A month after i bought it and 2hrs of wrenchin and this thing fired right up.
Thanks to Big K, Luke Cline, Darrell at dpppower, Dave and Jon....I got this thing singin [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I had to bend their ear a few times. Always helps to confirm what you are lookin at is NOT right [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]
I'm so freakin happy right now.

That is a good looking truck, what year is it? if you remember when I bought my stroke it cost me $16.66 to fix it, it wouldn't start when it got hot and you and Bigbopper told me it was IPR O-rings I went back by the car lot where I bought it and they couldn't believe it, they said the dealer wanted $1750.00 to fix it Ha Ha. she been running like a sewing machine ever since. Glad you got it going.

It'll come in damn handy also. Driving to school i run 500 miles a week with a 5spd 4x4 and 4:10's. This truck is 2wd, auto, and 3:55's [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Bill I sure do. I remember that convo we had while I was on vacation that year. I was proud as hell when you figured out what was wrong with it for such a small price [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] It makes you feel real good.
BTW the truck is a 1996, auto, XL, with 265K on the truck and 60K on the reman motor.

Good thing I have cool nieghbors...he gave me two 3-month old batts to use and his 200amp quick charger. that way i wouldn't have to spend $$$ on batts until I got it running [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
So all in all
$1800 for the truck
$100 tow charge to bring it home
$40 starter soleniod
$120 Batts
$55 Oil PSI set up(per Swamps recommendation)
$2115 total for the truck [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif[/img]
In the next few weeks we are gonna install the DP, put a open intake on, and 4 good tires and a set of the aluminum rims [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

NICE. I love the obs.. my last e.m.t. partner is regretting getting rid of his 7.3 obs for the 2006 6.0. I tried to tell him not to do it. Today he called me from the chebbby dealer we are not friends anymore.

[/ QUOTE ]i hear ya on the OBS....i found another one two days ago....1996 F350 4x4 pass side wrecked(same color as my 1995)...whole truck for $1500...my parents are gonna chit a brick when I bring it home.
