1990 7.3L IDI E350 Super Club Van

Not much traffic in the van section, so I'd try here.....

Thinking of picking up the above topic vehicle. Has 252,000 miles, old govt rig, seems to be in good condition. Suppose to be a XLT, but might be an XL.

Any how, what kind of fuel economy is expected from a van. The tranny is the E4OD, but I have NO idea what the rear axle ratio is (I'm guessing it's a 3.73).

I guess IF I get this van, it'll be the first Ford diesel.... well, the 3208 powered C8000 doesn't count

Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks for the link, but the van is older then the info on the site linked. But, one link did have the C3 listed. And it is listed as a 3.54 for a 92-98, but a 4.30 for 99-02. If it's a 3.54, it wouldn't be all that bad.... maybe time to take a trip to the library... It might be limited slip too...

Some where in between!!!!!

I went to KBB & NADA sites to see what they 'value' it as form area. I have an idea what its worth and what its worth to ME.

Oh, the front tank is full and the rear tank is 3/4 full....... that's a plus.

Well, I was 'playing' with it for a few days and it got 14.78 MPG. But I packed the tank.... It was a combo of 'city' and high way.

That's pretty decent mileage for the size of the vehicle. I have had 3 of that vintage Econolines. A very nice vehicle own. Enjoy it!
