1990 F-250 4x4 5spd New Tranny

I asked about this 3 weeks ago and your responses were great and got the owner to speak about the problems of the clutch pedal going all the way to the floor to start and the truck not going into reverse unless the truck is not started.
So I got him to come way down on the price as to offset the "about $800 to fix" the problem if that is all there is. My question is, a ball park figure on what a new tranny would cost if the "problem" could not be fixed?
The rest of the truck has so many new parts etc... that I am considering the purchase, Thanks, Rob

Sounds just like mine! Right now I'm the only one that can drive it without grinding rev. Don't no how much a new tans would cost but I think you could get it rebuilt for not to much.
