A while back a mechanic who works on school buses (over 300) did an artical on here about the 7.3 vs PS and the new 6.0. He owns a 7.3 and claimed that the 7.3 was the lowest cost to operate and maintain, getting about 14 mpg in mixed driving, 12mpg for the PS. After I read the artical I felt better about the IDI.
I have heard that the cummins gets the best MPG and last the longest, thats why I'm looking into a conversion. Hard to find a cummins. LOL
