1994 Fuel filter housing wiring details?

Is there a post or pic with descriptions of the multiple wires that plug into the fuel housing and which is which? I asusme the fuel heater is one wire, the "water in fuel" sensor is another.

I have a pic of an exploded view but can't post it. I was looking for information on what I thought was a sensor coming out of the top...turns out to be the wire for the heater. It would be on the left side looking down. The water sensor I'm thinking is on the bottom. The one on the side would be the fuel filter element replacement indicator according to the picture I have. I hope this is right and hope it helps. Ii'm thinking of taking my heater out and plugging the hole. It's warm here and wonder if this will be ok? Any one know it it'll work?

OK, just looked at mine. It has 3 wires to it. 1 on top, 1 on side (by the valve that looks like a wheel/ tire stem) to what looks like an old school oil press. sender, and one on the bottom of the filter. Anyone know for sure what all 3 are?

Check your email...... Top is fuel heater, side is plugged filter light, bottom is water in fuel sensor.

Not to thread highjack but when the guy replaced my fuel filter there was no longer a connection to the 'middle' of the filter and my fuel filter light stays on....the engine runs fine though.

Would this be the OEM filter and assy.
