4x4 troubles

i have warn manual locks and when i lock them in and put in 4x hi it wont lock in and it binds and pops dont know if its the transfercase or its not locking in in the diff but 4x low range works sometimes but others its like it doesnt even lock in it worked casue i blew my ds and i got towed home by a friend and it was in the street and people got mad cause it took up the street so i put in 4x low and i moved it into my driveway but thats about it at i accelerate it like binds or something idk what it is anybody have any suggestions.

Sounds like some lubrication may be needed in the hubs......

What did you break on the drive shaft......?? front or rear DS

i just changed the diff fluid today and the old stuff was a horrible smell and was green and sludgy and i blew the u joint strp on the rear driveshaft but it was flailing around under my truck and i busted off the where the u-joint cap goes into it on one side and i need a new yoke but i cant find one anywhere

try to engauge the transfer case with out locking the hubs and see if the case will work fine without the hubs ,then you will know if the problem is in the hubs or the case . new yoke ? ford dealer would be able to get one -for top dollar. maybe a store that sells diff.gears ? lots of adds in the 4x4 truck magazines

try randys ring and pinion: 1(866) 631-0196 ive ordered parts from them for myself and for customers of mine, really good quality products. they are in washington state, ive dealt with BLUE there before, not sure what his real name was. good luck im sure he can help you
