Got my new reman engine today. Was shipped in a pod well wrapped and protected. Will take pics on the rebuild. Question is--is there anything to watch out for during the build ? Any info sure appreciated.

Is it a long block, what do you need to install now the IP, lines, starter, and the sensors etc

Pete:It is a long block. Got the new oil pump on. Next is the valley pan, then set the gears for the IP timing W/#1 cyl. TDC on comp.stroke before putting the front cover on, then install the IP gear and housing, Int. manifold then the IP. This seems to be the most important, hope so. All the rest is just putting the, injectors, GPs,lines,frt.cvr.,WP,damper,etc. The thing I'm concerned about is timing the IP, gonna put the frt. cvr. and damper on temporarily to get the gear marks in the right place. Looks like a lot of sealing with RTV also, is there anything else to be concerned about?
