7.3 IDI diesel injectors?

I was pricing out some injectors and the prices seem to vary all over the place.

Ford dealer = $96 Cnd each
Local Diesel repair shop = $45 Cnd each for *NEW* Standyne
Local Navistar dealership = $63 Cnd each - made by Navistar
Local NAPA parts store = $103 Cnd !!!! each.

I can't believe the prices vary this much. Is there a difference in injectors? My tendency is to lean towards the Navistar dealers replacements since they built this engine. Said they are navistar replacement injectors - not aftermarket. Or the Stanadyne's, but the LOW price of the injectors has me questioning their quality?

Standyne made the fuel system for Navistar.International didn't do anything to the injection pump or nozzles other than remove them from the Standyne box and bolt them on their engines.Actually,NEW Standyne injectors are the most reliable replacements.As for the IPs,Rebuilds.Also,make 100% sure you get the right ones!There was half a dozen different Letter codes for different years and with or without turbos.

Aparantly, for the IDI Factory turbo diesel, there is only one replacement letter - 'G'. This is according the the International truck dealer I spoke with this morning. The 7.3L IDI N/A and 6.9L had various different types that could be used.

If Stanadyn makes the injectors for Navistar, then I guess there is no point paying the extra money. Looks like local diesel shop has the best price.

Is there a difference in quality between Stanadyn and Navistar? Make you wonder since some of the manufacturer get another manufacturer to build something for them according to their specs. I just thought that maybe Navistar had Standyne make them, but had different specs for them to follow in regards to the material they used, etc?
