7. 3 liter injector brass rings stuck

2 of the brass rings will not come out of the injetocr boring hole. Any idea, I have tried metal picks screw drivers etc. I have had trouble getting the injectors out but finaly did with the hints on here thanks tim

Usually I have found if you take a screwdriver that will just fit in the hole and gently drive it in with a SMALL hammer it will break them loose or then allow you to twist them to break them loose. Something like an EZ-out. You will most likely need to clean up the seats once you get them out so the new washers will seat properly.

suv7734's procedure worked for me too.

1986 F250 2WD Super Cab XLT Lariat w/ 1996 front clip. Dually bed & van rearend (2" wider, allows spring clearance). 6.9 w/ approx 120,000mi. Banks non-wastegated turbo system, Beru ZD1A glowplugs, Delphi BB injectors, Kenworth pyrometer, vac/boost gauge, electric water temp/oil psi/voltmeter mounted in dash. 3" Mandrel-bent open exhaust. C6 trans, 3.54 gears. Okiegringo idler pulley. R134a A/C conversion. WMO/diesel blend in one tank.

I've got a long set of needle nose pliers, and I poke the tip down in there and spread the handles out with both hands and lift up and ..so far, I've got all the stuck ones out that way.
Doesn't hurt to spray a little Aero Kroil in there and let it soak a bit first.

Be warned any significant amount of fluid in the cylinder can cause hydrolock.....
