7.3 stalls when letting off the throttle

first off i had a problem where it was smokeing like hell and would run like crap till it warmed up.i replaced the injectors with a known good set from another engine.it ran fine when cold but still smoked.comeing down the highway it started knocking.sounded like the motor was about to blow.nursed it home.well as i listened to it run the knock sounded like it was in the top of the motor,not in the oil pan.so i decided to replace the injector pump.again took it off of a known good running engine.it fought me all day to run.no matter what i did it wouldnt start.not pumping fuel or nothing.had fuel going into the pump but not comeing out of the injector lines.so i swapped the top of the pump with the top of the old pump.finally got it running.but now when i rev it in neutral or push in the clutch going down the road it stalls.the motor the injectors and pump came off of never did this.and the motor in the truck never did it till now.

any ideas?and the knock was caused by an injector.when i finally got it running i reved it till it started to knock and loosened injector lines to see where it was.found it and replaced the injector and it runs like a dream except for the stalling.no smoke or nothing just dies.

Sounds like fuel. Something maybe be plugged.

thanx for that.one other piece of info i forgot to ad is that it fires right back up like nothing happened.anybody have an exploded view of whats inside the top cover of the pump and how it all goes back together?
