7.3l IDI Wiring Harness

Hi guys, I am working on a 1994 F-350 with the 7.3l IDI International motor in it. The guy had a problem with the glow plug system, when he went to start it the "wait to start" light would come on for about two seconds and go out, then it would start clicking. So i started checking the glow plugs and discovered the wiring harness was in rough shape (cracked connectors). So he ordered the "glow plug harness" from International and it was the wrong one. Now i'm looking for the whole engine harness, Ford discontinued it, however they were able to give me the part number(F3TZ-9A451-A) and a schematic. I've looked online everywhere and cant find one. I really want a new harness but if anyone has a used one that is in good shape i guess that'll work. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 7.3l IDI Wiring Harness

If the cracked connectors is referring to the white plastic, you can heat shrink a couple layers over the metal.....

If you want only the GP wiring ......

You may find a couple extra wires on the IH one.....disregard or remove them.

Re: 7.3l IDI Wiring Harness

I would check the glow plugs first before replacing the wiring. Sounds like some of the glow plugs are not working.

Re: 7.3l IDI Wiring Harness

I have several bare connectors on my '91. When I swap motors I think I will use a little heatshrink. My wires and connectors are in good shape.
