is 78.00 bucks a good price

My vacuum pump went out on my ole horse and found a new one from cardone at checker auto in yankton for 78.00,,,,but a remanufactured one is goin for 106.00,,,,my ole pony is 91 f250 ext cab 5 spd with flatbed,,,soup bowl cut out,,,timing bumped by ear and runnin strait pipe,,,,,,jacked up casette player,,,but the worlds best hay hauler,,,,but nwayz is kinda hard on my 50 year old legs to stop it when haulin gooseneck loaded down with 5 tons a round bales,,,,havent gone to pick it up yet,, the pump that is but am wonderin is this good price and another thing,,,,what do i need to get pulley off????? what kinda puller?? am a very good shade tree but am jus wonderin,,,,,any advice will be greatly appreciated

I always paid a about $110 for a reman.

You use a power steering puller to remove and install the pulley. Attempts to do it with a jaw puller and / or hammer will result in pulley or (new) pump damage.

They are about $60 and up. I always just go to AutoZone where they will loan you one.

take the old pump--and the new--to a ford dealer--theyll change it for ya--not for free----

lil shop in center, neb said he has a puller for it,,,,,checked price on one and it was like 80 somethin for puller kit,,,so prolly take it to lil shop in center,,,,he said bout 10 bucks,,,,good deal for me,,later
