8 lug rims

What are the lug pattern dimensions on a 1989 f-250 4x4 with 8 lugs. I need to change my 16.5 rims and get a 16 inch rim. Anybody got a used set laying around?

Re: 8 lug rims

Also if you can use 7" rims, new Econoline wheels are still the inch bolt pattern.

Re: 8 lug rims

I dont think dodge wheels will work. I bought a set and the center hub was about 1/4-1/2 inch too small so my hub wouldnt fit inside correctly. I guess you could grind the inside down but thats alot of work. I sold the set I bought and found the correct wheels on ebay.
The bolt pattern is 8x6.5 for your wheels.
My truck is 4x4 though, I guess dodge wheels might work on the 2 wheek drive stuff. Dodges usually have alot of backspacing to them also which can be a pain for your turning radius.

Hopefully this helps,
Eric

Re: 8 lug rims

It probably depends WHICH Dodge wheels. I had an E250 that had one one it, you couldn't tell the difference excet for the Pentastar stamped in the wheel.

Re: 8 lug rims

I waited around for quite a while for a set of used 16" wheels to come up. I finally just went to Discount tires and got a set of new ones with lugs, center caps, lifetime balance and rotation(even though I didn't buy the tires from them). It came to $500, which I put on their credit card for 12 months interest free.

Re: 8 lug rims

The original wheels are 16" X 7" with a 8 X 6.5" lug, 5-1/4" hub, and 4.5" back space.

When shopping, make sure you get the whole wheel, not just the rim. Rims are hard to mount, without a hub to bolt to your truck
