91' Does Not Want to Start - Diesel Forum

Hey guys,

Came home to the parents for the weekend, our 91 IDI seems to not want to start. Just changed glow plugs/glow plug relay and still hasnt cured the problem. Would it possibly be a starter problem? Its kicking over good. The injection pump has a pretty fresh rebuild on it, pretty good batteries, I figured doing the plugs/relay would get it running like a top? Welp, got to thinking, and asked the ole' man where he got the glow plugs to replace them a month or so ago? Said "up town" which is just a tiny little store, so of course, had Auto Lites in it, well got some Beru's and just through them in (well seven, the 8th was the second one on the drivers side from the radiator under the fuel lines, no way getting in there w/ limited tools) and she fired up pretty good, see how it goes in the morning but I am thinking that was the problem.
