91 ford f-250 4x4 diesel, Pivot Bushing replace

Hi All: I was wondering if I could get some pointers on replaceing a pivot bushing, and 2 axle joints, I want to a front end shop today they said that was what I need and gave me a price of $ 695.50, well I can do most things myself and when I checked the prices I knew I was gonna try, they told me $ 50.00 for the pivot bushing, I called auto zone, $ 14.99, for the axle joints they told me parts,$ 80.00, AZ,$ 11.99, so any tips would really help, and do I need any special tools?, Thanks So Much.

Which axle joints....... as some are quite involved for time. Do yourself a favour and get top dollar joints "greasable" or you will be doing it again sooner than you want.

I used auto zone's loaner ball joint press to remove/ install bushing. If I remember right, had to make up a pipe spacer to do the job.

do I have to do anything with the spring or shock, or will it lower down enought to change bushing after I take the blot out??, Thanks

When the guys at the shop replaced mine they just jacked up the frame and let it hang IIRC.
