on the 92 & up IP screws

I did a search to find out which is the metering screw and the external fuel screw. I found several post that show mis matched data and a picture that is incorrect. does anyone know which screw is which?

Re: on the 92 & up IP screws

Did you look HERE ? This post has a picture of a newer 92.5 and up IP. It is labeled. Is that the photo you refered to as "mislabeled"? The external screw will give you smaller change in fuel metering. The internal screw will give larger changes in the fuel.

Re: on the 92 & up IP screws

The external will make huge differences if the internal is cranked all the way up, BUT the external is still set low. Trust me, it made a huge difference, my IP's internal was set all the way, THEN I cranked the external, it made a huge difference. I am not positive, but the external lets it flow to full fuel, so even if your internal is cranked, if your external is relatively low, you won't see much until you really uncork the external. Sorry if it sounds confusing, it all makes sense in my head. Scotty
