94 7.3IDI won't shut off HELP!!

The key turns off, all the electricals shut off but the engine still runs. How can I shut it off?

"If its still running, go out and unhook the wire on top of your pump on the drivers side that is closest to you (the wire on the driver side of the pump farthest towards the front of the engine.) that'll shut it off...sounds like you have a short...Sounds like a weekend of wire tracing is on your horizon."

Possibly the ignition switch or key position..... check for other power on after key off. I know you checked it but...........

I would guess it's more than likely the ignition switch... Right before I sold my last IDI the key switch was so sloppy that I could keep the engine running and have no accessories - the linkage/assembly was so worn up at the key tumbler that it was really sloppy. Just a thought...
