I was wondering what would cause my 94 to be losing power. Two months ago i was getting 20 mpg now it is around 10. what would cause the milage to go down like that. Also when pulling it doesn't have near the power it should/used to have. ??
If you have over 125k miles on the current injection pump, it is highly likely it needs to be rebuilt. About a $300.00 - $450.00 bill if you remove it and reinstall it yorself. Ask for instructions BEFORE you pull it out if that is the way you go. New or rebuilt injectors are recommended also when you rebuild the IP. About $25 - $35 each. OkieG
First I would be change the fuel filter and add some additives to the tank. Fill the new filter with the additive and install it.
Do a pressure and flow test on the lift pump too.....
