94 superduty clutch trouble...help!

Picked up a 94 F450 turbo diesel this summer, just started fooling with it. Was having trouble getting it into gear, and it would crunch on downshifts unless I babied it. I opened the bleeder screw on the clutch slave and had the gf push the pedal to the floor. The pedal went to the floor and a big spray of fluid came out of the slave, but the pedal stayed on the floor until I reached in and pulled it back up. Now I can't even get the truck in gear at all while the engine is running. I am a noob at this Ford thing, can anyone guide me on this? Did I damage the master or slave? Was it on it's way out anyways? Thanks people.

Check the firewall when the GF pushes the pedal.... does it tin can by the booster are there cracks in the FW. Other than that check the bushings etc inside on the clutch pedal/arm assy known to wear out and cause your problem.

For bleeding a clutch this has worked for me: use a squirt-type oil can with brake fluid in it, attach a small rubber hose to it and to the open bleeder screw. Pump the brake fluid into the bleeder screw thus pushing the air up and out through the master cyl.

well I fiddled around with it most all day and still have no clutch. I went to napa to buy a squirt can, the guy there sells me this thing called a brake bottle instead. It's a brake bleeding setup. Tried it and got nothing. So then I drilled a hole in the clutch master cover and put a schrader valve in there and tried to pressure bleed it out. That helped, I actually got a pedal but nothing like it was before I started this foolishness. So then I go get a squirt can, fill it up and pump fluid into the slave, so much that it overflows from the master. Still no clutch!!! I must have damaged something or one of the components took a crap at that very time? this is bumming me out should i just buy the complete system that's pre bled or is there hope for this yet? grrrrrr..........

Mine was fairly difficult to bleed. I had to remove it from the transmission and hold it with the bleeder valve pointed up, then bleed. Downside is it is difficult to put back on trans after this. It was the only way mine would bleed out entirely.
