94 F-350 IDI, AC blows hot air, past the fuse (which is good) is there anything else to check before I bend over and bring it in to a repair shop?? thanks in advance!!

Does the compressor clutch engage? Move the temp control to verify operation(warm to hot). There is a switch on the dryer assembley on the passenger side. Unhook and jumper two pins in connector.If compressor comes on then most likely a loss of freon is your likely culprit.If it happened suddenly then a large noticable oily area in the system is the leak.If it gradually lost cooling then a smaller harder to find leak is to blame.Thats just a start.
