Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

I think it is 5/32 allen. I used 90 degree allen wrench and 1/4 x 5/16 inch snapon offset boxend wrench with mirror to turn mine up. There is right much restitance to turn screw.

Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

Yes remember that it is pretty hard to turn. Also you might have the pump 180 degrees off. When I adjusted mine, I aligned the mark on the vibration damper to the 1'oclock position. I turned the crank back and forth till the allen wrench fell into what felt like a slot. I couldn't feel the allen bolt so I knew that I was 180 off. So then I marked a spot on the water pump (to align the vibration damper line to when I came back around) and then turned the motor/crank over exactly one full rotation. I aligned the damper line with the spot I marked, and the allen bolt was right there. Good luck.

Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

yes, the allen wrench is a 5/32. i took the allen wrench and cut off the elbow part. it was just a straight allen wrench. i took a 1/4" drive 5/32 socket and stuck the allen in it and used the rachet to adjust the set screw. it worked way better than a regular wrench and pliers! one thing to rememebr is to not damage the gasket on the triangular plate. you will use it again...............Gibson

Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

ok thats all i need ed to know, i appreciate it. althought quick question, my egt's dont go over 750 now with the intercooler even when its to the floor on a hot day in texas like about 90 degrees, and it just pittles out a little bit of smoke when to the floor do you think that it may be turned up all the way, or if it was turned up all the way i would be getting alot more black smoke. cause before turbo and intercooler and no muffler i had a new IP put on and when i hit it it blew smoke like crazy which was awesome??? just wondering what yall's input on it would be...thanks

Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

Sounds like your Intercooler is working as it should. Have you adjusted your external fuel screw? If your internal is maxxed, just go ahead and put some more fuel to it with the external screw. That is where the majority of the fuel will come from once the internal is maxxed. Sounds like your truck is really running well, 12psi, 750 for EGT's.. Most guys dream of having a set up like that. I know I do. Scotty

Re: Adjusting injector pump?????

Well it's hard saying if you have your pump turned up all the way or not. A turbo adds more air to your engine and therefore burns the extra fuel better, so that is why it doesn't smoke as much anymore.
P.S. I the nitrous doesn't work please send the kit to me !
