When I replaced my AF with the K&N, (removed the Soup Bowl also), I expected some improvement.
I could detect any some change in performance mileage. The mileage improved slightly, maybe 1 or 2 tenths of a mile per gallon, practically speaking, there was no change!!!
My advice, --- don't expect a thing, and there will be no disappointment
Good Luck

I could detect any some change in performance, but little, maybe it was the increase noise!

Perry, you've really gotta learn to say what is on yer mind . I believe this article is to what Perry is referring. Click Here to view Air Filter Comparasion Test
I'm using a K/N in my turbo filter box and I noticed a difference in accelleration right away. But I'm just more 'sensitive' than most of you guys, I guess . I oil the crap out of mine (lubes the compressor turbine fins ). Even after cleaning mine I notice a difference, but then I am U.S. Gov't Certified 100% 'WACKO' . I read it too. The AC/Delco sounds like it has the best filtering, but it also has the highest restriction. Sounds like you have to decide what balance you want between engine life and performance, just like with most other mods....
Sorry to all the loyal 7.3 guys, but I traded my '91 7.3 in on a 2002 F250 Ex cab V10 4x4. SCT Xcalibrator2 with tunes by Powerplay Performance. 285/75/16 Toyo M/T's. Took a long time to get used to the ping-pop of a cooling catalytic converter...LOL.
'85 Bronco swapped up to a 302 4bbl from the 300 I6, NP435 4spd, NP208, 32x11.50x15 Radial RVT's, Soon to be 6.9 turbo powered.
86 F350 Cab&Chassis with a dump bed. 2wd 6.9 and 4 spd tranny. No mods to engine.
