annoying white smoke

Ok here's the thing my truck runs very good for being a 94 the only thing thats been really bugging me lately is that she smokes white sometimes very little and sometimes alot most of the time just as it's idleing although i have noticed she does it when i run her hard ............ at first i thought it was a bad fuel filter so i changed that nothing changed . I doubt that theres somethin wrong with any of the lines as they were replaced right before i bought her . I also run ULSD fuel but i mix in some Power Service fuel additive does any one have any info that can help me stop this annoying white smoke ??

Thanks in advance

Pete,

I have a similar white smoke problem at start up and I suspect no advance. How do you check/service the timing advance lever?

I dont think that the timing has ever been checked well i know that i at least havent checked it in the 10 months i've owned the truck . Ill need to check the timing advance lever to see if it works and as for air intrusion i highly doubt it but ill check that out too thanks for your input

Advance your timing a bit and see if the smoke goes away. White smoke that stings your eyes is usually late timing. As these IPs wear the timing slowly retards. If this clears up your smoke have the timing set correctly.
