Re: another truck

If it does not have the injection pump and lines, she's a powderstroke

Re: another truck

I have a 1994 factory turbo IDI and yes, my turbo says Garrett. It is the company that makes the turbos for ATS. Although, powerstrokes are also garretts I believe, but it should be easily distinguishable between a stroke and an IDI...If it has a ton of wires then it's a powerstroke. My motor looks just the same as yours with the exception of the turbo...there isn't a whole lot different. If the valvecovers are different, then it's a powerstroke. The valvecovers for IDIs from 6.9s to turbo 7.3s are the same, except the turbo 7.3s have a breather on the driver's side valve cover. Also look at the 8th VIN number- if it's a K then it's a 7.3L factory turbo. If it's an M then it WAS a 7.3L n/a...Can't remember for the life of me what the VIN for a powerstroke is... Re: another truck

if it is a powerstroke you can noit put that turbo on your IDI. it will make too much boost. 20+lbs. besides, a powerstoke with out a turbo would be worse than ahvin a lawn mower motor in it...............Gibson
