Auto vs Manual Dash

Whats the difference in the dashboard between a manual truck and an automatic? How does the gear selector work?

1994 F-250 XLT Off Road 7.3L IDI Factory Turbo 5 spd Man. 410 gearing. Pump turned all the way up, 14 PSI Boost, 1250 degrees MAX. ATS Outlet/Downpipe upgrade with 4" system. 86,xxx miles.

Is Now CUMMINS Powered. '01 24v with HT Turbo, Injectors, TST Competition and Edge EZ, with FASS.

The indicator works on a little wire as the shift lever moves. It is removable.....

93 F250 7.3 IDI S/C XLT 4X4 E40D 3.55LS, Captains chairs, Tutone Mocha, Leer 48" Hiboy cap, FR & RR hitches, full DeeZee running boards. Factory ordered/delivered Jan 93 has 160K+, it's basically a stock truck with all the Ford options, just no disc player.

So can I still keep my same insturment cluster and just put in the little indicator, and pop out the black spot where it goes?
