Back In ACTSHUN!!!!!!!!

It lives again. Yep I got it all buttoned up tonight, and it started after a minimal amount of cranking. I even cut the soup bowl out with my air nibler. Its all painted perrty too.
We took it for a night run and woke the neighbors up with the open pipe when she hits 3 grand.
Right now I think it needs to be timed as it seems just a little on the doggy side. I just put the 2 marks together as the manual says and it wasn't timed previously.

Well I'm glad its back in action!!!

There used to be a link here, to some useful IDI-diesel tech info; but it was chopped out by others, in a vain attempt to repress the very essence of the internet: linking!
sigh...

Re: Back In ACTSHUN!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear it Greg. I think about your truck everyday as I pass Grave Run Rd. going down Falls Rd. Bring her over to Drummer Boy on the 30th. I'm sure you can get Mel to set the timing.

Re: Back In ACTSHUN!!!!!!!!

Thanks All,
Hey Joe, I was up 94 last week and had a minute, so I drove down the Rd. accross from the Diesel station, and low and behold there was your truck.

Re: Back In ACTSHUN!!!!!!!!

Greg, when you post, check right above the spot where you type your text in the box. There is a drop down box. Make sure it says Make Post using UBBCode and not without. That syntax looked like it should have worked. I'll bring the meter to Gettysburg. Make sure the lower probe hole on the crankshaft damper will accept a 5/16" drill bit 1" fully into the hole, and be able to rotate it so that the RPM probe will fit it.
