I posted this problem last year about no backup lights. The problem is not with the switch. It works fine in that it works by hand. I can push the switch in an the llights work. It just won't work when it's installed in the trans. I need a longer switch. Has anybody else had this problem? Is the only way to fix it is to go to a manual switch? Thanks for any help.

It looks like the tranmission can't fully engage the switch when I put it in reverse. Unless there is a different switch I can install I will have to put on a manual switch.
manual switch its honestly easier than troubleshooting it
