Re: bad oil cooler?
Either you cut an o-ring or the block gaskets leaked. No, the bundle can't be installed backwards. Usually we air test the repaired oil cooler before it is installed. When you get it fixed run the coolant with Dawn dishwashing detergant to clean out the oil. It will take several complete system dumps. Remember to drain the block on both sides and the oil cooler. It will clean up over time. The oil will be pushed over into the coolant recovery tank so keep an eye on it and dump it when it shows about 2 inches of oil. Just run water till its all cleaned out. Its cheaper that way and should take about a week to clean up. Sorry...
