Banks power pack

was looking for a banks turbo and stumbled on this
eBay Motors: Ford 7.3 Diesel Banks Aircleaner (item 310066696704 end time Jul-22-08 20:07:50 PDT)

if anyone is interested, get that and can fit a larger better flowing air cleaner under there... seems a bit pricey to me tho.

These usually come with a huge K & N filter element (lifetime) in them. $60 is a deal for one of these! They are huge, and made entirely of cast aluminum; very nice! I got mine for $50 used, but when they were new, they were a LOT more.

The Power Pack included the Y pipe and 3" exhaust. You have a good exhaust. The filter used a K&N that is more than an inch higher than the original. The housing was designed on a flow bench for optium air flow. It all works great at lower elevations (anything East of the Rockies). Tests conducted by Banks and Trailer Life Magazine back about 1986 showed almost as much power increase as the first ATS turbo IDI at sea level. Mine is great at 1100 ft. or thereabouts. The complete kit was about $600. You may have trouble finding the filter element.
