Banks Sidewinder Install ??

When installing a Banks Sidewinder Turbo kit, are there any fuel system modifications required? Injector pump calibration etc.
Is it within the scope of the driveway mechanic?

Re: Banks Sidewinder Install ??

i believe you can turn up your ip, that's one way you get more power.
if you want further information you can ask the guy's at bank's power they are very helpfull.

if you want i can email you the manual.

Yes you will be turning up the fuel screw within the injection pump but it's pretty easy.

The entire install can be down by someone who knows there way around a wrench and can follow directions.

The Banks system actually has some pretty good directions. I was quite impressed with them when I installed mine a few years ago. So yes it's in the scope of the normal shade tree'r

Re: Banks Sidewinder Install ??

The kit is complete so the BOXES OF PARTS can make it look more complex than it is. Like Travis said the installation manual is good. I'd advise reading it a few times before you start your install. That way you have an ideal of what goes where and what parts and tools you need to use. I got mine on in about 6 hours. But, I cheated, the only thing on the frame was the motor and tranny. You must turn up the fuel to get any real benefit from the turbo. That's the whole reason to add a turbo....more fuel is burned and thus more power.

If you have any questions or problems with the kit, ask away, we'll help ya. I really LOOKS GREAT when it's all done.
