Scratch me up another vote for Pete. I used a blue because I had a pile of 'em in the garage, but the red will do just fine.
Get it as close to the tank selector switch as possible and mounted on some sort of a rubber block to keep the meat grinder noise down to a minimum.
I wired it to the circuit that powers the FSS in the injector pump. I used a lighting relay and some 12ga wire back to the pump to avoid any voltage drop even tho the pump only pulls a few amps. I also installed a 7.5A fuse in the power feed as well.
For connections, I used Goodyear fuel injection hose SAE J30R9. AutoZoo sells it for 4 bucks a foot now and it's rated for pretty much everything. (Specs listed on GY's site.) You can identify it by the blue color inside. In fact, ALL the fuel lines on my truck are plumbed with this stuff and it's the best.
You'll love the way the system bleeds out after filter changes. (No need to fill the new filters, and no cranking to get the air out anymore.

)
As far as reliability goes, the Holley pump is NOT listed as compatible with diesel, but mine has been in for more than 120K miles and it's still humming along just fine. I put a spare under the seat along with a spare reg back when I put mine in, hopefully it's still under there, lol.
