brake master cylinder

Hello.

I heard somewhere that there is a better master cylinder for the 80's model f-250. Anyone hear of using one from a one ton or something along those lines?

Thanks!

Re: brake master cylinder

You might be thinking of the master cylendar out of a one ton super duty which is hydraulicaly assisted from the power steerind pump, indeed a better setup but I would see it as being a big hassle to change. I am not sure if all the bolt holes are the same as the vacuum assisted setup. Though I think that may be the one you are refuring to.

Re: brake master cylinder

Thanks big time! I'm not sure that is what I was looking for. I thought it was just a heavier duty m/c from another ford truck that bolts onto the vacuum unit.
