Brake Problems Again!!

Suddenly my brakes is taking to much in the back...
Blocking the rear tires very early , resulting in the truck going sideways!!

This happened at the same time as my Rear Anti lock light came on!
I wonder if it could be this ?

I will try changing the fluid and bleed the system!
The Master is brand new,

Re: Brake Problems Again!!

- Before doing anything, pull the codes from RABS. Also make shure the plug at the brake fluid tank makes a good contact.

Thats a sign of a non operative rabs, as is a lighted yellow rabs light. It is a testplug and a procedure to be followed to get an error code from the system. You open the connector and ground a cable. The rabs light will blink a code back. Do a search in the forum to find details. I may send you some documents in the evening(thanks to cdnsarguy).

Re: Brake Problems Again!!

Had a similar problem with my truck. First time I mashed the brakes on a test drive I darned near rolled the truck. Rear end was within 20 degrees of being even with the driver's side window of the cab.

Rebuilt the rear brakes. Still lock too easily. Still working on it. Please post back if you figure out the fix... I'll do the same.

No ABS light for me at all, and it does work.

Re: Brake Problems Again!!

Could be a leaky real wheel cylinder and getting fluid on the pads causing it to lock up. I just went through all this crap over the weekend.

Re: Brake Problems Again!!

Read THIS ARTICLE and do what it says. You will probably find the problem.
