CDR Tube

Ok guys, I now have a DIESEL!!!! The '90 460 gasser decided to launch the fan (2 bolts broke) through the alt belt, denting the crank pulley and alt. pulley, and the radiator, that stopped the water pump bending it's shaft which blued that pully which broke that belt all in 1/4 of a mile, so that truck is sitting until fixed which at 4MPG might be a good idea right now. My new truck is a 1989 SCAB XLT Lariat F250 4X4 ZF-5Speed 7.3 ATS Turbo (don't know if old style or new)with the normal Ford paint(peeling/gone) and 203,055 miles on original clutch, my question is that the CDR valve on the side of the airbox/housing has a hose that goes to the valve cover and the hose is cracked (well split is a better term) at the CDR and seeps oil on that side of the engine and is making a mess. I know a RDT is easy but what do you do with the CDR? Also truck has a boost gauge and pyro but they don't work, getting voltage to them and ground, boost probably doesnt work due to bent nylon line. Pics of damage and new truck comming soon.

Re: CDR Tube

if i understand you correctly, you are talkin about the small 3" long, 1.5" wide rubber tube that connects the CDR to the crankcase. if so, that will cost about $22.97 from the stealership. not a hard item to replace. I had to use a hose clamp from some PVC pipe to clamp the tube to the valve itself............Gibson
