Hey yall! A while back I replaced the alternator cuz the light was flickering and the bearings were squeaking. Then I replaced the regulator because the light was flickering and voltage was bouncing high/low. The light's still flickering, whats next [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif[/img]? Or should I finally seek professional help [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif[/img]?

you have a accidental ground that may touch frame and then go off ?

Mine does the same, and I replaced the alternator and regulator with no luck. I was told here the white wire from the alternator is the one that senses current flow and should be checked for a good connection to the alternator.
I finally learned to ignore it and I'll probably yank the bulb next time I have access. My digital volt meter says I'm putting out 14.3 Volts, so I'm not concerned.
take it to a reg rebuild shop near you--should end your problem--theres a whole lot of bad rebuilders out there supplying the major chains--your hometown guy will normally do it right----
