Clutch Questions

I have a 92 F 350 with 165000 miles. The clutch was replaced at 120000. The receipt says LUK Clutch Pak and DMF 002 flywheel ( which was very expensive) There has always been some rattling at idle and the clutch shudders during release. It still seems to be working ok but the shuddering seems to be getting worse. The one thing I have noticed is that with a loaded trailer behind it is not nearly as noticable. It has 3:55 gears. What do I have, ? and is there a better setup such as the solid flywheel conversion. What are the advantage disadvantages to the solid flywheel ? Thanks in advance for your help.
Mike

Re: Clutch Questions

You have a ford dual mass flywheel and a Luk clutch disc and pressure plate. As long as it's working leave well enough alone. A complete Luk change over kit is over $500.00 minus labor. If the dual mass that's in there was replaced a short while ago I would check and see if there is any warranty on it. You may get lucky. As far as the shuddering and shaking thats kind of normal on the ones I've had but they also had some miles on them.
