Re: colored bulb for dash back lighting?

No, there would be no point in different colored bulbs for the dash backlights. The dash bulbs are clear, and the transparent plastic is green- giving you the color you see at night. About where to tap into for your dimmer switch- pull your fuse panel off and look at the circuits. Go to any place that has electronics stuff and you can get some piggyback fuse taps. They're little brass things that slip over your ATC fuse with a .250" male connector at the top so you can tap into a circuit easily. I just make sure I fuse mine on the FUSED side, if you know what I mean. Use a test light or a voltmeter to check which side has power when the fuse is pulled. Re: colored bulb for dash back lighting?

He doesn't want to wire a dimmer switch, he wants a wire that is controlled by the dimmer to hook his aftermarket lights to.

Your easiest shot is probably the wire that goes to the illumination bulb for the heater control. Or the radio. Whichever is lower or more easily accessible on a 92. Just use a Scotch Quik-tap to tap into the wire.

There might be a pigtail under the dash for wiring additional dimmed lights, it would be a matter of finding it.....
