ok thank's to one of the member of the forum i'm saving myself some money and i'm on the way to add the propane to the engine. i got the regulator, i'm looking for the lpg solenoid (hard to find up to 5psi), i'm looking for some vaporizer on ebay but one thing i don't know is wath size hose i need. they have many welding hoses on sale, could any of you guy's tell me if this one is ok [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Hey Exekiel,
I am sure tomorrow when I come down to your place in Silver Spring.
You can show me in person some idea of how a propane system works.
I have no knoweldge or experience with propane. Except to heat my camper. But I will bring down my "Mr. Heater" High Pressure hose.
It is 12'long. One end connects into the propane bottle. The other end connects to the heater.
It is described on the package as:
12' Propane Hose Assembly
Swivel 1"-20 Male Throwaway Cylinder Thread x Excess Flow Soft Nose P.O.L. with Handwheel. Item # 173646 from Northern Tools $21.99
I also have a Propane fuel filter #173639 $6.99
Both are new and still in the package.
Maybe that will give us some idea of hose you may possibly need.
Once I have a idea of what you are trying to accomplish. My best contribution may be helping to ask the members here questions.

I did a search on propane to see what I could find. I found this comment:

Can anyone guide me to this writeup (so I can study for tomorrow)??

well i'm happy for having you tomorrow over here. about the propane system yes i have founded some info too, also some ideas i have once i get the parts i'd like to know how the other member's hink it'll work, could be a good idea. if it work's it is not that expensive and i can put it all here so other's can use it.

it is a good text, it explains many thing's i did not know about conptroling the system. i still have questions about some parts he don't specify wath part number is, where he got it. example, i have trouble finding the solenoid valve i do not know wich one would work, i have this page with lot's of them but i don't know wich one to order link here if anyone can help me, and the lpg hose i find lot's of them for acetylene real low price but i don't know if it would work on propane. i'm learning a lot about this from all a readed, i think it will be fear after i finish the installation to write down about this experience on the forum so other's will be able to use it

Exkiel, I read the text and pictures. I may print some out.
The hose going into the pain bottle is the same one I am bring down.
My guess would be to use the high pressure stiffer propane hose, instead of the low cost welding hose on Ebay.

Propane solinoid valves can be had by going to web site of Advanced Fuel. Valve Model 111 are used on propane conversion automobiles. 12 volts 30 PSI operating range.

tank you for the info, i got the lpg rated hose i find one just now. i know i'm looking for good prices, but i don't want to be cheap, this is PROPANE and if i go to low on prices i could be saying good by to my truck.

i was asking for the acetylene cause they are really cheap, i noticed with the one i got is twice more expensive than the acetylene

great, i need plenty of stuff.

- the lpg solenoid valve it open and closes at a rated pressure.

- the propane regulator with gauges. this one on the page is not exactly for propane but the one that is for propane should look like it only diference the rating goes input 0-500 psi output 0-30 psi aprox

then you have the other stuff, it is the hose, any other swich to regulate or control the propane, etc.

I had the pleasure and the honor of meeting Exekiel and his very lovely girlfriend today. We spent the day talking trucks and all things IDI. Come to think about it we talked about a wide range of subjects. A good time was had by all.
Looking forward to the propane add on, once all the correct components are secured.
