93 7.3 XLT crewcab dually
ok, Ive checked(all fuses are good) everything I can think of having to do with my cruise control not working(does not turn on at all) I noticed when i got the truck, that they replaced the brake booster, There is a plug on the top of of it but nothing is running to it. I assume this deals with turning the cruise off when you hit the brakes. Seems that the plug I have for the brake booster does not work with it. Im guessing my cruise wont turn on because it isnt wired up to the Brake booster. Anyone have any insight to this situation?

Could be a fuse..... check cab and under the hood boxes. under hood (C or #3) is the horn and cruise main fuse, there is also one in the cab box a 20 amp yellow #6. PM me Your email and I will forward the Cruise manual to you if you still need it.

could be the vacuum is disconnected from the servo? could also be the speed sensor, i believe you have 2 seperate ones the one with the cable is the one for the speedo and the one on the tailshaft is for the e40d and cruise. if your tranny is shifting ok(being its the e40d) then its prob not the speed sensor. its usually the horn fuse or the switches in the steering wheel.
My cruise was not working and a retired Norfolk Ford plant employee told me to check the vacuum. I pulled one of the other lines temporarily and hooked the cruise hose up and it worked. He said there is a plastic canister that can crack and lose the vacuum so I have to check that out now.
