in theory the sleeves should not leak unless they have a super lot of wear on them

93 F250 7.3 IDI S/C XLT 4X4 E40D 3.55LS, Captains chairs, Tutone Mocha, Leer 48" Hiboy cap, FR & RR hitches, full DeeZee running boards. Factory ordered/delivered Jan 93 has 160K+, it's basically a stock truck with all the Ford options, just no disc player.

The block is milled down to about 1/4 inch left of the parent bore. Thats for the sleeve to have something to rest on. Otherwise the sleeve will slip down and hit the crank. If the block is bored all the way down for a sleeve repair it will be ruined. Material taken off cannot be put back on.
