Diesel return lines!

Hello!
I was wondering about this:
My return line is leaking a bit (wet around one or some of the tubes that goes between injectors) and I got to crank a bit before it starts.. the longer it sits the longer i got to crank!
But i dont see how this should cause this problem.. does anyone have a drawing or something of the fuel system ?
I asked for a "return line kit" at a US FOrd dealer here in norway! But they did not have any!

Re: Diesel return lines!

you are probably draining the fuel out of your fuel bowl... I ordered mine at www.mwfi.com

DONT touch your current ones until you have the replacement parts in hand ready to go to work...

Re: Diesel return lines!

Just curious, but do you have a line going from your fuel filter to the number 2 injector? i think its number 2 (first on pass. side) My local diesel shop mechanic told me there is a one way valve on the fuel fulter return line for those trucks equiped with it from the first pass. side injector. And if your leaking fuel and the valve is not functioning proporly it will let air into the system that way. He asked me if my truck started and then died, and i have to crank it a few times to start it again. Just a thought.
Buy the way, its actually called an "injector install kit"
It comes with the copper washers on the bottom of the injectors, the plastic caps, o-rings, and the return line that goes between those caps. And the clamps. hope this helps ya!

Re: Diesel return lines!

The first cylinder on the passenger side is the #1, and is where you hook up a pulse adapter to set the timing. OG
